Jessica works out of her home studio in St. Paul, MN making useful ceramic pieces which combine simple forms and colorful surface decorations. Scandinavian design and folk art traditions influence her work, informing patterns and motifs with a rich history of everything from handmade objects to textile design and even storybook illustrations. As an artist she is compelled to create objects that can encourage human connection through a shared experience (her hands made what your hands now hold) and hopefully a shared smile.
